Introduction to Sailing
Learn the basics of sailing, boat parts, points-of-sail, the wind, sails and sail trim, rules of the road, buoys etc. This includes the Sailing Wind Wheel and 2x2 Micro Method manual.

Docking Workshop Understanding the 49 things you will need to remember when docking a boat as helmsman and as crew, includes book.

 

2 Day Hands On
Docking Class

Half day "Chalk Talk" plus two on-the-water sessions putting into practice all the docking techniques with a variety of docks and scenarios as helmsman and crew. Includes Docking book. (*see prerequisites)

On-the-Water Half Day Sessions (OTW)
SAVE when you pay for 3 Half Day Sessions

Each On-The-Water class builds on your skills. First class practicing Points-of-Sail, Taking, Jibing and understanding which way to turn. Second class, solidify OTW skills, single-hand Tacking, practicing MOB under sail, Third class, MOB under power, reefing, prep skills before learning to dock. Fourth class, docking at a both transient docks and into slips (when possible both fixed and floating docks). We recommend two On-the-Water sessions per class to build skills since everyone progresses at a different rate.

* On-the-Water Sessions require attending Basic Fundamentals Learn to Sail Class and
Docking requires both Basic Fundamentals plus a minimum of one on the water session.

If you are happy with your class you may wish to tell the Instructor
by giving them a tip. It is customary in the sailing industry
to tip Captains 10-20% as you would in a restaurant. This is not mandatory.
